Constraining buttons to a bound shirt mesh, bear with me. I have a strange problem with the Rivet script 1.0, whereby once its assigned to two edges on my mesh, it will rotate in strange ways once the mesh is rotated, instead of staying as a fixed point on the mesh.

I then tried to use DJRivet 1.6 from highend 3d, which worked fantastic on my machine which has maya hair, but then the character was taken to a different machine, without a hair liscence and all the rivets have taken on a leaf level group and have all snapped to the world origin. But it says in the script notes that no hair systems are created by the script. So in theory the buttons shouldn't have to depend on a hair system.

    Any advice is much appreciated.

the latest hyperReal book has a MeshParent Script that is different from the Rivet but doesn't use the hair system, its works well.

I might give that a look, I resolved the issue by using the Rivet 1.0 script and mucking around with the parent relationship between the geo and the rivet, managed to get it working on multiple machines now. Also used the motion path method of constraining objects to the mesh, again encountered the strange rotation issue, the way to fix it though is to feed the rotate xyz from the driving object (The bound mesh) directly into the rotate xyz of the constrained object.
