    Well,
    1st off...
Id like to welcome myself (Chris G.) to what seems to be, hopefully, a forum where I can find some guidance in the area of Maya I hope to excel in. I stumbled on here after seeing a link in a discussion on the 3dbuzz site.
I'm from Miami, FL(USA) & currently taking a Maya intro class at a community college (which I hate since all we do is model =\ ..) And I was wondering if anyone may be located in or near Miami that could recommend some top notch schools that will actually teach and not blow off my hard earned $$$$.. Looking forward to purchasing Javier's Tutorial bundle's as soon as the funds are available.

I've got some of the Digital Tutors stuff already, but that only goes so far.. =(.. and I was really looking forward on getting a bit more info from the people that have purchased Javier's Tut's.

If you guys, and gals, got any pointers as far as going from "zero to hero" let me know.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

My mother looks at me funny when I tell her I'm going to school to be a " Rigger "... Joke's on her ...

    Hey Chris

    Welcome to the forum

I would recommend the Quad series since those are the latest work and probably the ones that cover the most.

First two cover how to build the dane step by step while the last one is all about scripting. If you are interested in rigging, scripting is a must.

Actually, the latest latest is tips and tricks, but it's pretty much at the same level of detail and depth as the quad series

Anyway, personally, I would recommend those

    hope that helps

    Javier
