I haven't read that one, but I can highly recommend these:

Art of Rigging 1,2 and 3
    Jason's friendly animation bundle
Javier's quadruped animation bundle (haven't tried yet, but it's gonna be my bday present )
Fahrenheit Digital rigging tutorials (facial, feature animation and skinning).
    inspired advanced rigging
Mel and Python for Maya books.

I've been researching books for a while and that's what people have been talking about.
I say the more the better... get any rigging, mel and python book you can get.

I really like Stop Staring by Jason Osipa. Also another must in Richard Williams Animation Survial Guide. While it's not about rigging I think it's helpful to know and understand the animation principals. oh and pretty much any anatomy book is something that you need on your bookshelf as well.
