    Hey kar_k, by stretchy rig I believe you are referring to Stretching spine using ikSpline.
    I dont know whether my method is the perfect one but still this is how I did it.

    I hope u have done the grouping of the controls well.The problem I faced was that how to bring the curve and ik handle(spine's ikSpline) in the hierarchy without affecting the character.

    1.All I did was grouping the spine's curve,ikhandle and middle cluster into one group and simply leave it(just to clean up the outliner).

    2.Group the character mesh into one group.

    3.leaving out the above two groups I parented everything else directly to my Global ctrl

    in the end the outliner would look something like this

    +Global ctrl
    +Xtra grp "The group containing the curve,ik,etc)
    +Mesh

    Tell me if this helped you if not explain your problem a litle more

    THANK YOU DEAR BUT I HAD A PROBLEM WITH STRETCHY RIG

    AND THE PROBLEM WAS THAT IF THE STRETCHY WAS OFF THE RIG WOULD SCALE IN PERFECT WAY BUT IF THE STRETCHY WAS ON THEN THE SCALING WOULD EFFECT THE ENTIRE RIG AND THE RIG WOULD BEHAVE IN A STRANGE WAY ??????????????????????

    PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    but i mean the whole rig that include arms and legs to be stretched

    it is good when transversed but when it is scaled it acts weired

    plz help .................

    Hi Kar_k

    Again, the question is too generic. This can be done in many many ways.

    It's like asking.. how do you get to the number 4?
    well, it can be 1+1+1+1 or 2*2 or 2+2 or 1+3 or or or or
    Without seeing your rig it's impossible to know

    The Digital Tutors "Cartoon Character Rigging in Maya" goes over how to make stretchy joint chains scale uniformly with everything else. I believe that was the only thing on the dvd I found of interest but there you are.

    It is covered at the end of disk 1
